How did you originally get into Sonic, and what about him made you become a fan  Me I first played the original Sonic the Hedgehog at my preschool (they had their own Genesis!) I remember playing it with my friends for hours, although I never did make it past Labyrinth until later. By the time SA1 came out, I was already a dedicated fan. The games were so fun. You could play through them over and over and still have fun, they had awesome music, and great gameplay. It was one of the first video games I'd ever played, and I still play it today  What about you How did you become a Sonic fan |

Born and raised since Sonic 1 in 1991. First game to play, and still my favorite series to this day.

Actually the first Sonic game I played was Sonic 2 for the Genesis (it came with the system). I'd like to say that is what got me into being a Sonic fan. It was probably SatAM first then I found out that Archie did a comic series with the same characters in SatAM, so in all honesty it's a mixture of the three, that and the buildup to Sonic #50, the Endgame arc (still my favorite arc of the series so far). I believe it was the culmination of all these things together that made me a fan.

...I loved the music for all of them... Amen to that. No matter how bad the games got *cough* Next Gen *cough*, the music was always epic. In fact, I sometimes spend a good amount of time listening to the sound test, especially in Adventure 1 and 2. |

If I remember right, it all started long, long ago... At my older sis's orthodontist, they had a Genesis. I would play Sonic for about half an hour (and suck) every time we went. So then later I tried out the Genesis collection on Xbox, and well... It was great. Got myself a few other Sonic games, and things sorta snowballed from there...
I'm a fan of the music too, being the obsessive game nerd I am. I listen to VGM practically every day, and Sonic always strikes me as epic.
ANd then Saida introduced me to fan characters, and blah blah blah, I could go on forever like this. I'll spare you guys.

No, i've seen many Next Gen fans other than you. Next Gen just felt, different to me. It had many flaws that made me struggle to keep playing.
Although I will admit that there were some parts in Next Gen that I liked.

What got me into Sonic games was the fact that Sonic was fast.
The first Sonic Game I've ever played: Sonic Spinball
Recently Played Sonic Game: Sonic (06)
And I'm surprised to see how Sonic's graphics has changed.

Well, I was a little girl, and I just got my Gamecube. We went to EB games and I could pick a game. I got Sonic Mega Collection, and my parents secretly got me Paper Mario: TTYD.
I would play Sonic Mega Collection endlessly, and many years later, I would become a Shadow Queen Fan.
