So whos played any of the Tales of games I have played both Symphonia games (The 2nd one does not suck, the first one is just better!) and Tales of Vesperia. Im currently working on getting Graces(When it comes out) and Abyss. Yuri Lowell = Sarcastic badass!!!!!

I've played:
Tales of Phantasia Tales of Symphonia Tales of Destiny (only three minutes...) Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology
I have to say, I really love this series, each game has a great storyline, and good music to boot, as well. Personally, Symphonia is my favorite, with Kratos Aurion being my favorite character amongst them.

I prefer Vesperia over Symphonia. I just found Yuri a better sword fighter then Lloyd and Rita a better mage then Genis, and I liked most the characters in ToV then in ToS. The thing I find really funny in ToV is Estalle's healing usefulness gets out matched by Raven, an 35 year old archer whos a pervert and complains constantly that hes old in the skits and Karol, a 12 year old boy with a weapon bigger then him. I mean Love shot and Nice aid/healing/curing smash take no cast time at all and work just as well if not better then first aid/nurse/etc. Plus Raven and Karol are both useful fighters and can take being hit. I just find that really funny.
Unlike most people I keeped Zelos alive, besides that one time I killed him just to get the boss fight and to see what would happen if Kratos comes in instead of Zelos.

I just like the story of Symphonia overall better, but then again, I haven't played Vesperia, so my opinion is biased for the time being.

I haven't really played the "Tales of" games, but I've certainly watched my siblings play it often. They are pretty obsessed with it. I've been wanting to take a go at Tales of Vesperia, because to me that one looks the most interesting. Although I wish I had a PS3... From what I've heard, Vesperia is coming out soon for that system with so many more options then the Xbox360 version; hundreds of new scenes, a new main character (!!), and all of the non-voiced scenes are now voice acted.

I have only played Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Not too bad...not too great either. Aluna, I find myself wanting a PS3 even more now that you've said that.

I just got Tales of Eternia on my PSP, and it's good, voice-acting in most of the game, but the story is REALLY confusing at first.

I played through Symphonia and currently playing through Vesperia. My opinion on the series is that its good, but a little cliched at times with the characters and story elements. Still, there's never been a bad Tales of games as far as I can tell.
